What a great read. Loved learning the background and evolution of our wolves today. They have gone through so much and yet continue to meet the survival challenge. Can’t wait for the next one.

Wow, Clint your creative ability to blend the complex story of the evolution of our planet and our favorite mammal is impressive, thank you.

I do have a concern, intended to be respectful of your creative license, about the pack's winter den. Judging from current and past comments, you have become a teacher, and a good one. In acknowledging your teaching influence, I'm wondering if your creative license would allow redirecting or writing out unique behavioral patterns in the pack's story.

A departure for you, Clint. I read the evolutionary history and the ecological history after European settlement with interest. As aways, I learned a lot. Thanks for writing this informative piece.

I’m sure there are many words to describe what I’m feeling and thinking right now, but I am at a loss for them…such informative and incredible writing, Clint! I wish you had written my textbooks. I probably would’ve been a better student in high school.
